Peter Tragos

Peter Tragos believes that justice isn’t just a concept, it’s a process that depends on all of us. In his talk,  Big Fan of Justice: Why you should care about the judicial system that WILL affect your life, he pulls back the curtain on a system most people don’t fully understand but absolutely should, because we all have a stake in how it works. From custody decisions to protecting rights, from settling disputes to determining guilt or innocence, the courts influence our lives in ways both expected and unexpected. Peter argues that it is not enough to hope the system works; we need informed, engaged citizens to help make it work. Serving on a jury, he reminds us, is not a burden but one of the most direct and powerful ways to participate in democracy. His message is clear: do you want to be at the system’s mercy, or do you want to understand it and play a role in shaping fairness and justice?
