As the Founder & CEO of TransPacific Communications, I have extensive global expertise in cross-cultural communications and translation. My path has taken me from China to the corridors of power in Washington. I’m an in-demand keynote speaker and have led countless training sessions to help non-native English-speaking professionals communicate more effectively. I transitioned from broadcast and print journalism to a career in corporate communications and PR. Then to the White House, traveling around the country and the world for presidential trips. After my service at the White House, I served as a communications chief for several large national and international nonprofit organizations. I also testified in the House Small Business Committee as an 8(a)-business owner. My voice can be heard by millions as the Voice and Voice Coach of Rosetta Stone’s Mandarin. I received numerous awards, including Best Women Small Business in Maryland in 2024, an American Express Ambassador in 2023, “Maryland's Top 100 Women" in 2022, 2020, and 2015 by The Daily Record, a Mandarin Leader in America in 2018, an “Outstanding Chinese American” by the Alliance Cultural Media, Inc. in 2016, the “Best Cross-Cultural Communicator of the Year” in 2013 by the Washington MD Minority Companies Association. I'm a graduate of the University of Mobile in Alabama and Hefei College in China. An avid runner, I have run more than 120 5Ks around the globe.
